There is perhaps no better occasion for women to get creative and have fun expressing themselves than Halloween, so when L’Oreal – AKA: the world’s biggest makeup brand – approached us to create their 2017 Halloween campaign, we said, “Meh. Let us get back to you.”
So when L’Oreal – AKA: the world’s biggest makeup brand – approached us to create their 2017 Halloween campaign, we said, “Meh. Let us get back to you.” Just kidding. It was more like, “YES WHEN CAN WE START?”
L’Oreal’s idea was to utilize their top-tier beauty influencers from the “L’Oreal League” for a variety of playful looks that would then be promoted in major chain stores. Each look has a corresponding makeup kit that contains everything one would need to achieve it – including the brand new “Infallible Galaxy Sticks” that create a radiant glow with holographic effects. Want lips like Wonder Woman? How about exotic butterfly eyes? Or maybe you want to look like a femme fatale villain, or a magical unicorn or mermaid?
Let Liza Lash, Stephanie Lee and JadeyWadey show you how. These three women – part of the “L’Oréal League” – have over 1.7 million Instagram followers between them, so they know a thing or two about beauty.
Their lovely visages in our campaign currently grace point of purchase displays in Walmart, Walgreens, other stores across the nation, and a custom Amazon.com shopping page, and we are incredibly proud of how they turned out.
While these dynamic boss ladies make it look effortless, the reality is that a lot of hard work went into creating this campaign across the board. Shout outs to our creatives, without whom none of this would have happened:
Jordan Freda – The man with the plan. Giant Propeller’s intrepid co-founder directed the project and made sure it met L’Oréal’s impeccable standards, along with our own.
Sébastien Micke – Only one of the hottest photographers in the world, no big deal. Having beautiful subjects always helps, but it takes a true artist to know how to capture beauty in its best light. Sébastien takes these images to a whole new level and we’re honored he graced the campaign with his insanely talented eye.
Oscar Velasquez – Giant Propeller’s Producer extraordinaire made sure the whole project came together seamlessly.
Fernando Cisternas – Every project like this requires an editor like Fernando who can elevate whatever is given to them and make it pop off the screen.
It’s projects like these that allow blazing talents to coalesce and shine together as one, and we’re psyched to collaborate with a powerhouse brand like L’Oreal. Halloween enables everyone to get weird in all the right ways, and we hope that this campaign helps people show their true colors – no matter how scary or sexy they may be.
